The City Tourism Operations Office has added Mugna sa Pasko, a creative costume competition, to the list of Pasko Fiesta activities this year.
The new event will be showcased during the Pasko Fiesta Parade.
CTOO Head Jennifer Romero, in an interview with Madayaw Dabaw, aired on Davao City Disaster Radio on Tuesday, introduced the Mugna Davao as a new contest for a fun and colorful Pasko Fiesta.
“The costumes will be Christmas-inspired, and a group of five will take part in the competition, and they will wear their costume and take the parade route,” Romero said.
The creative costumes will be highlighted during the Parada sa Pasko Fiesta, where a contest for the best Parada sa Pasko Floats will also be held.
The Parada sa Pasko, Mugna Pasko, and Banda Dasig are the three Pasko Fiesta contests that will be held on December 15.
The City Government of Davao will also have its Christmas Float.
After the Parada, the LGU Christmas float will visit selected areas for the Kasadya sa Pasko og Kalingawan sa Distrito.
The guidelines of the three contests are already available on the Pasko Fiesta sa Davao Facebook Page.
Romero invited all Dabawenyos to take part in the Pasko Fiesta events.
“I would like to invite everyone to take part in our celebration, December is the best month of the year and Christmas is the best season of the year so atong gi-invite ang tanan na (we invite everyone) to share our videos, and to invite everybody, and to visit all the areas and enjoy the holiday season,” Romero said.
