The Davao City Health Office (CHO), through its City Population Division, has set February 28 for its free No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) day.

Dabawenyos who no longer wish to have more children are encouraged to avail of the free NSV at the Buhangin Vasectomy Center on that day.

NSV is one of the permanent family planning methods offered by the City Population Division.

Every last Friday of the month, the office schedules a free NSV service to male Dabawenyos.

NSV is non-invasive, and the process only lasts for around 10–15 minutes. It only requires minimal aftercare and a shorter recovery period compared to the bilateral tubal ligation (BTL) offered to women.

More details about the service is posted in the Population Division’s official Facebook page at City Population Office Davao. Interested individuals may reach out to the office through its email at citypopulationofficeofdavao@gmail.com, or give them a call or message them through their number 0995 202 4680. CIO
