A total of 45 families and individuals who were victims of the June 28 fire on Sales St. received on Friday cash assistance from CSWDO.
A total of 16 families with totally damaged houses, three families with partially damaged houses, five sharers, eight renters, and 13 boarders received cash assistance at the Jose Rizal Elementary School, Santa District, Barangay 28.
CSWDO City Poblacion B District Head Gina Molon, in an interview with Madayaw, said that they were hopeful that the cash assistance would be used by the beneficiaries as a starting fund to build their homes or find shelter aside from the Jose Rizal Elementary School.
Molon said that about 10 families or some 30 individuals are still staying at the Jose Rizal Elementary School after the fire incident. Modular tents are still being set up in the area.
She urged the beneficiaries to consider the health of the young children who are staying at the gym.
