The City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) announced on Wednesday the list of temporary road closures for the Araw ng Dabaw celebrations.
The CTTMO said that based on Resolution No. 04170-25, Series of 2025, and City Ordinance No. 0777-25, Series of 2025, temporary road closures will be implemented for Konsierto Dabawenyo on March 14, as well as Parada Dabawenyo and Hugyaw Dabaw on March 16.
For Konsierto Dabawenyo on Friday, March 14, a temporary road closure will be in effect starting at 1 pm on San Pedro St. (from the corner of C.M. Recto Ave. to the corner of Iñigo St.).
For Parada Dabawenyo on Sunday, March 16, temporary road closures will be implemented at 4 am in the following locations: Roxas Ave. (from the corner of Quezon Blvd. to Ponciano Rotonda); C.M. Recto Ave. (from the corner of Magsaysay Ave. to the corner of Pichon St.); Rizal St. (from the corner of C.M. Recto Ave. to the corner of Iñigo St.); Iñigo St. (from the corner of Rizal St. to the corner of San Pedro St.); San Pedro St. (from the corner of C.M. Recto Ave. to the corner of Iñigo St.), and City Hall Compound – Old Engineers Alley until the parade ends.
For Hugyaw Dabaw on Sunday, March 16, San Pedro St. (from the corner of C.M. Recto Ave. to the corner of Iñigo St.) will be temporarily closed starting at 1 PM until the celebration ends.
Motorists are advised to follow the traffic plan and use alternate routes provided by the CTTMO.
In a phone interview with Madayaw Dabaw on Wednesday, CTTMO Head Dionisio Abude shared that beginning March 12, flyers have been distributed to establishments along the Parada Dabawenyo route—including Rizal St., Claveria St., Iñigo St., and San Pedro St.—to inform them of the strict “No Parking Policy” before the parade day.
Abude emphasized that the measure is in place for the safety of participants and the convenience of business establishments’ clients.
For Parada Dabawenyo, a total of 144 traffic enforcers will be deployed. Meanwhile, the CTTMO will assign a total of 1,033 enforcers throughout the Araw ng Dabaw activities for the entire month. CIO
