The Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) on Tuesday issued a temporary road closure to give way for the Banda Dasig, Mugna, and Parada sa Pasko Fiesta activities set on December 15.
The closures will be made to ensure public safety and the seamless execution of the Pasko Fiesta activities.
CTTMO Head PCol. Dionisio Abude (Ret.) said the route of the parade is the same with the Kadayawan and Araw ng Dabaw, which starts on Roxas Avenue, turning left to C.M.Recto Street, right turn to Bonifacio Street, then left turn to Pelayo Street, and left turn to San Pedro Street.
Also to be affected are Zamora Street, Gomez Street, Artiaga Street, Faura Street, Aurora Quezon Street, Mabini Street, Pelayo Street, Bonifacio Street, Palma Gil Street, Rizal Street, Inigo Street, CM Recto Avenue, Bolton Street, C. Bangoy Street, and Bonifacio Street.
Abude also said no parking will be allowed in the affected routes (Roxas Ave., C.M.Recto Ave., Bonifacio St., Pelayo St., and San Pedro St.) starting at 8 a.m. until the activity ends.
“Sukad atong lunes, naghatag na ta og pahibalo (Since Monday, we have been giving out notices),” he said in an interview with the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio.
