The CCDO also invited the chairman of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), as well as the regional director, and the council. According to Fiel, Councilor Dayap will be representing the City Council. To ensure the security of the people that will attend the celebration, the office also invited personnel from 911 and the PSSCC.

“Hopefully, makaadto gyud sila (cooperatives and stakeholders) kay once a year lang man gud nato mahighlight ang contribution sa cooperative sector sa economy sa Davao City and sa whole nation so kana mao gyud na atong month nga makapromote ta, makapangita ta og network and linkages para mag-grow pud ang atoang cooperative ug magdevelop pud ta as member and as a cooperative sa whole organization (Hopefully, they can attend the celebration since we only get to highlight the contribution of the cooperative sector to the economy of the city and the nation once a year. We have this month to promote, and build connections and linkages for the benefit of our cooperatives),” Fiel added.

Currently, Davao City has around 436 operating cooperatives. Fiel also encouraged individuals interested in building or joining cooperatives to visit their district offices or their main office for technical assistance, financial assistance, and other support services.
