The TF Davao, in partnership with peace and order agencies, continues to maintain strict border checkpoints amid recently confiscated illegal drugs.
Task Force Davao Commander Darren Comia, in an interview with the Davao City Disaster Radio on Wednesday, said that they were able to intercept drugs with the implementation of strict border inspections.
“Last week naay na intercept nga dako nga kantidad sa illegal nga droga ug firearms sa entry points sa Davao City, padayon nga ginapahugot ang pagbantay sa dakbayan, of course, this is in close coordination with the Davao City Police Office and all other law enforcement agencies (Last week we have intercepted a huge amount of drugs and firearms. We continue to strengthen the security and peace and order of the city in coordination with other peace and order agencies),” Comia said.
On May 29, 2024, the TF Davao and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) confiscated drugs at Lacson checkpoint in Calinan District.
Comia said that charges were already filed against the suspect through regular filing.
He lauded the DCPO and the TFD for confiscating such contraband before it entered the city.
Meanwhile, the TFD continues to advocate for the culture of security by conducting anti-terrorism forums for various sectors. It is also finalizing its security plan for the upcoming Duaw Dabaw activities. CIO
