The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) will increase police visibility and strengthen patrolling in the city following recent violent incidents involving some individuals.
PCpt. Hazel Tuazon, DCPO Spokesperson, said in an interview with the Madayaw Program over the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) on Monday that crime prevention is their top priority, and that PCol. Meanwhile, the DCPO recently released an official statement regarding the incidents that took place in Barangay Riverside, Calinan on May 15; and in Bankerohan on May 19, informing the public that the DCPO promptly responded to the reports of commotion in the areas mentioned.
PMaj. Alberto Abella, Station Commander of Calinan Police Station, and PMaj. Michael Uyanguren, Station Commander of San Pedro Police Station, already verified the reports and has implemented necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of the community.
According to Tuazon, PMaj. Abella is already preparing to file a case of alarm and scandal against the individuals involved in the commotion in Calinan.
On Monday evening, five individuals involved in the incident in Bankerohan surrendered at the San Pedro Police Station.
Uyanguren said a case of alarm and scandal will be filed against the individuals involved in the Bankerohan commotion.
The parties involved also released a public apology for causing a commotion in the area.
The DCPO is reminding the public that unlawful acts, regardless of severity, will not evade the law and shall face charges to deter others from causing public disturbances affecting the peace and order of the city. CIO
