An official from the Public Safety and Security Office on Thursday bared that their office has prepared to deploy 20,485 security and safety personnel for the 39th Kadayawan Festival activities.
“We have dedicated personnel per event and that [the number personnel to be deployed] also includes even accommodations,” PSSO Head Angel Sumagsaysay, said during the I-Speak media forum on Thursday, adding that that they will have 661 average daily deployment.
He said that they will deploy 4,104 security and safety personnel on August 18, 2024, for the Indak-Indak and Pamulak.
Meanwhile, as part of the security and safety cluster, the City Transport and Traffic Management Office has already set several personnel to be deployed for Kadayawan.
CTTMO head Dionisio Abude, who was also present in the same forum, said that they will deploy a total of 486 traffic personnel in all of the activities. They will also deploy 118 personnel for the Pamulak and Indak-Indak.
“Since same na ang route sa Pamulak and Indak-Indak so same preparations but we have additional personnel for the deployment (Since the route is the same for Pamulak and Indak-Indak we have the same preparations),” Abude said.
He added that 18 corners and intersections will be close to big events on August 18. CIO
