The Davao City’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Committee was recognized as the Best E-CLIP Committee in the Highly Urbanized City category by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
The award was given on December 6 during the NTF-ELCAC’s Gawad Parangal 2024 Awards.
The award is a testament of the city’s commitment to peace, security, and development, as well as its continuous effort to help in the reintegration of former rebels in the society.
Davao City’s E-CLIP committee was reconstituted in 2023 through Executive Order No. 33, Series of 2023, to help in the reintegration of former rebels through the implementation of various programs of the city government of the said sector.
The committee has been instrumental in ensuring convergent efforts in delivering identified services of the program as well as in assisting former rebels in the preparation and implementation of their Former Rebel Reintegration Plan (FRRP) or Former Violent Extremist Reintegration Plan (FVERP) and Business Plan through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
The city government, through Peace 911, continues to work with other agencies and the community in ensuring the sustainability of its projects and programs for former rebels as well as in maintaining the city’s peace and order of the city. CIO
