Davao City will enjoy a non-working holiday on August 16, 2024, based on Malacañang’s Proclamation No. 621. The proclamation was signed on July 2, 2024, and was published in the Official Gazette on July 8, 2024. An official copy of the proclamation can be secured at www.officialgazette.gov.ph
Meanwhile, the City Government of Davao is already gearing up for the Kadayawan Festival and issued the festival teaser through the Kadayawan Festival page last July 1, 2024.
The teaser showcases the symbols and dance movements of 11 tribes of Davao City.
In the first week of July, the guidelines for the Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan and Pamulak sa Kadawayan were also posted on the Kadayawan Festival Page.
