As the city gears for Konsierto Dabawenyo and Hugyaw Davao, Dabawenyos are reminded of the do’s and don’ts to ensure smooth and safe festival events.
The authorities have issued dos and don’ts which include the prohibition on carrying umbrellas, bladed weapons, and canisters that are not transparent. Dabawenyos are also encouraged not to wear jackets, or bring alcoholic beverages, and backpacks.
Harold Quibete, in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR), said the performers of Hugyaw Davao include the Kalayo Pinikpikan band from Baguio City, Daybreak band, Cuerdas Band, One half gallon band, and the RondalSayaw winners.
According to the Araw ng Dabaw’s Official Facebook page, Never the Strangers, Over October, Oh! Caraga, and Rico Blanco, are among the performers in Konsierto Dabawenyo on Friday.
The Konsierto Dabawenyo will be on March 14 while Hugyaw Davao will be on March 16 at the San Pedro Square. The two events will begin at 7 p.m.. Admission is free. CIO
