The Land Transportation Office (LTO) continues to roll out its free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) in public and private schools throughout Davao Region.
Yuri Lim, Head of the Regional Law Enforcement Section of LTO, in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR), said the initiative was aimed at having a generation of disciplined and responsible road users.
“As early as this generation, matudluan gyud sila unsa’y tama nga road courtesy and discipline. In the future, sila na gyud ang mugamit sa kalsada, and makakita ta nga disiplinado na sila pag-abot sa panahon (As early as this generation, they will learn good road courtesy and discipline. In the future, when it’s their time to use the road, they will be disciplined),” he said.
The LTO XI has started visiting schools in various locations across the region.
Lim said anyone can attend the TDC sessions.
The LTO also collaborates with accredited driving schools to ensure the delivery of quality driving lessons to students.
During school visits, the LTO also offers vehicle permit and licence renewal, and on-site application for student permits.
Although participation in the TDC is not mandatory, students are encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity. CIO
