By that time, our NC3 Bus Driving TESDA-certified drivers will be able to familiarize themselves with the buses as part of their training on how to operate them),” Atty. Tristan Dwight Domingo, Davao City Bus Project Manager, told Davao City Disaster Radio on Thursday.

Domingo said that they were hopeful that by late September or October they can start the deployment of the buses.

He said that the buses will be deployed and rides will be offered for free to Dabawenyos during peak hours.

They are currently waiting for the official list of routes approved by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

“With the DIBS dili undangon ang Peak Hour Augmentation Bus System nato kay dako man kini og tabang (Even with the DIBS, the PHABS will continue as it is a huge help),” he said, adding that both will simultaneously operate assuming the demand.

The transport studies will continue for the areas or routes where PHABS can be assigned effectively in the future.

Domingo said that with the expected arrival of the buses currently, they are hiring NC3 TESDA-certified mechanics, and personnel to be assigned at the command center for the DIBS. CIO
