As part of a celebration of love, diversity, and self-expression, the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) announced on Monday the categories and prizes for the Duaw Davao’s Pride Parade.
The Pride Parade, which is scheduled 3 p.m. of June 22, is one of the official activities for the Duaw Davao Festival that celebrates diversity, and aims to empower members of the LGBTQIA++ community in the city.
The CTOO unveiled two competition categories for the Pride Parade including the Most Vivacious and Vibrant Contingent or the Liveliest and Vibrant Contingent, and the Glam Royalty 2025 Award or the Most Creative Attire award.
The Most Vivacious and Vibrant Contingent award will recognize the contingent that best embodies high energy, creativity, message clarity, and visual impact.
Contingents will be judged based on Energy, Enthusiasm and Engagement; Creativity, Originality and Message; Color Coordination and Visual Harmony; and Overall Impression.
Winners for this category will receive monetary prizes with the 1st Place amounting to P25,000; P15,000 for the 2nd place; and P10,000 for the third place.

Meanwhile, the Glam Royalty 2025 Award is open to all individuals, regardless of gender identity or expression, participating in the Pride Parade 2025.
Interested participants are urged to sign up early at the designated booth at Rozas Avenue Satellite Stage.
Participants should register for the competition from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
An assigned number will be provided to the participants following the completion of the registration. They will be judged as they pass through the judging areas located on Roxas Avenue and the San Pedro Square, where they will showcase their ensemble and stage presence.
The Top Three participants with the Most Creative Costume will receive P15,000 for 1st place; P10,000 for 2nd place; and P5,000 for 3rd place.
