The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) has released the official calendar of events for the 2024 Pasko Fiesta sa Davao celebration.

With the theme “Stronger, Brighter, Happier together,” this year’s Pasko Fiesta is filled with events that will bring joy to Dabawenyo families.

The events will also highlight the creativity of Dabawenyos in music, arts, and dance.

Jennifer Romero, Officer-in-Charge of the CTOO, said the Pasko Fiesta will officially kick off with the Dan-ag sa Davao ug Pag-abli sa Pasko on November 28.

“We are all set. We are very excited sa atoang grand opening which will be on November 28. By November 28, we will expect that all lights will be turned on and ready na ang atoang Christmas decoration in time for the Pasko Fiesta 2024 (We are all set. We’re excited for our grand opening on November 28. By then, we can expect that all lights will be turned on and the Christmas decorations are already installed in time for the celebration),” she said in an interview with Madayaw Davao.

Romero added that the Christmas decorations that will be installed follow a whimsical theme of “Enchanted Woodland: The magic of the forest in the heart of the city.”

Vibrant colors, interactive designs, large reindeers, big gift boxes, and Santa’s sleigh are just some of what Dabawenyos can expect to fill the City Hall grounds.

This year’s Pasko Fiesta has 15 major events along with the annual Sing Along ni Pulong. Out of the 15 events, the CTOO prepared five competitions including Koro sa Pasko on December 7; Banda Dasig on December 15; Sayaw sa Pasko on December 21; Pasko Panag-uban: a rhythm and joy showdown on December 13; and a new event, the Mugna sa Pasko on December 15.

Romero said that Mugna sa Pasko is a Christmas-themed creative costume competition in time for the Parada sa Pasko which will also be on December 15.

Starting November 29–30, and on December 1, December 14 and December 24–29, the City Hall will be serenaded with Christmas songs through the Panayegon sa City Hall.

The Perya sa Pasko will also be open from December 1 to December 27 at the Rizal Park open grounds.

Music in the Park, one of the additional activities for this year’s Pasko Fiesta, is set to kick off on December 7 at the Magsaysay Park.

The same event will take place at the Quezon Park on December 8; at the People’s Park on December 13; Los Amigos Park on December 14; Doña Vicenta Park on December 20; Magsaysay PArk on December 21; and on December 22 at the Bago Aplaya Esplanade Park.

The CTOO also identified two barangays from the three congressional districts of the city for the Christmas on Wheels or the Kasadya sa Pasko and Kalingawan sa Distrito.

There will also be a Pasko Fiesta Grand Bazaar at the Esplanade Park, Bago Aplaya from December 26 to December 31.

To officially close this year’s Pasko Fiesta, Dabawenyos are invited to join the Pasko Fiesta Year-End Party at the Bago Aplaya Coastal Road on December 30.
