The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) logged 5,503 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events in 2024, more than twice the 2,632 recorded in 2023.
Last year, the city hosted 1,145 conferences, 1,567 exhibitions, 2,780 meetings, and 11 incentives.
CTOO Officer-In-Charge Jennifer Romero, in an interview with Madayaw Davao on Friday said that the 109.08 percent increase cab be attributed to the collaboration and continuous efforts of the city government and the stakeholders.
She said that aside from Davao City MICE Board meetings, they regularly communicate with their stakeholders to discuss ways to establish Davao City as a preferred venue for local and international MICE and business events.
