The City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) is urging Dabawenyos to join this year’s Duaw Davao Esports Tournament at Annex Event Center of SM City Davao on June 14.

The tournament will feature two of today’s most popular mobile games—Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile: MP.

A Duaw Davao Facebook Page post said the tournament is designed to establish esports as a recognized sport and entertainment medium, strengthen bonds within the local gaming community, and highlight Davao’s emerging status as a key esports destination in Mindanao.

Registration is now open and is accessible to all interested players. For those who wish to compete in the Mobile Legends, Dabawenyos may register via https://forms.gle/zy8nKLJ4QiZunaca7.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty enthusiasts can register through https://forms.gle/7QiK5C9DbKPACA7z5.

The deadline for registration is on May 25. Late registrations will only be entertained in exceptional cases such as documented technical issues, platform errors, or force majeure events like natural disasters or power outages.

To join, players must be at least 15 years old as of the first day of the registration period. Those under 18 years old are required to secure written consent from a parent or legal guardian and submit it alongside the registration documents.

Players currently banned, suspended, or under investigation for violations such as cheating misconduct, fraud, or game fixing are ineligible.

Current employees, contractors, or volunteers of the organizing committee are prohibited from participating.

Each team competing must also consist of five core starting players: one designated team captain, one reserve player, and one team manager. The team may have a maximum roster of seven members.

The CTOO also noted that once the submitted registration form is verified by the organizers, no substitutions will be allowed, even though teams are initially permitted to include two substitute players.

All teams are required to provide complete details such as player names, addresses, in-game usernames, valid IDs, team names, logos, and other contact details via the official online registration form.

Each game title will offer its prize pool, with rewards distributed based on final standings. Prizes may include cash, merchandise, or vouchers, as detailed in the individual tournament announcements.
