Some 4,000 security personnel will be deployed to ensure the safety of Dabawenyos and visitors during the Parada Dabawenyo on Sunday, March 16.

The security cluster consists of various law enforcement agencies, including the Civil Security Unit (CSU), the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), the City Disaster Risk and Management Office (CDRRMO), and Task Force Davao, among others.

The security measures will include the installation of roving patrols and a heightened presence of police officers at the event venue. Medical teams from the City Heath Office will also be stationed in strategic locations.

PCpt. Hazel Caballero-Tuazon, DCPO’s Spokesperson, in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) said the deployment is vital to maintaining peace and order throughout the Araw ng Dabaw celebration.

She also asked for the cooperation of Dabawenyos and tourists to achieve a zero incidence rate during the Araw ng Dabaw celebration.

Authorities also remind Dabawenyos and tourists to adhere to the city’s culture of security. CIO
