The city government’s online platform for the Lingap para sa Mahirap program has served a total of 6,682 clients from 2022 to 2024.

The online platform for Lingap assistance served 1,374 in 2022, 2,468 in 2023, and 2,840 in 2024.

From January to February this year, the Online Lingap has served 366 people.

Joan Paralisan, Team Leader of the Online Lingap, said the digital innovation has streamlined access to financial assistance for various needs, ensuring that help reaches those who need it promptly.

She said hospital bills are the most requested type of assistance, followed by laboratory expenses, and funeral-related financial aid.

Paralisan said the barangays with the highest utilization of the online platform are Bucana, Buhangin, Sasa, Talomo, and Cabantian.

The Online Lingap initiative aligns with the city government’s drive to enhance public service through digital platforms. By reducing the need for physical processing, the program ensures that assistance reaches Dabawenyos, especially the underprivileged sector.

The Online Lingap assists Dabawenyos with their hospital and funeral bills, dialysis treatment, and medical and laboratory procedures.

Paralisan also urged Dabawenyos to use the platform to decongest the Lingap offices. Customers can access the online platform starting at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Lingap program also has satellite offices in Calinan, Marilog, Toril, Bunawan, Paquibato, and the Almendras Gymnasium compound.
