The City Social Welfare and Development Office(CSWDO) provides Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation throughout the year.
Based on the latest data, 5,663 individuals were able to avail of AICS as of November 2024, or a total of Php 35,596,600 distributed.
At least 1,861 of them received assistance for food and basic needs; 1,440 received emergency shelter assistance, 2,327 got educational assistance, and 35 availed of health enhancements (ligation/vasectomy).
AICS is a type of assistance given to qualified individuals based on assessment by social workers.
The beneficiaries of the program include residents of various barangays in Davao City.
The CSWDO is the local social welfare arm of the City Government of Davao mandated to provide basic social welfare programs and services to the disadvantaged citizenry.
AICS is one of the emergency welfare programs of the office.
However, AICS is only one of the forms of financial assistance provided by the CSWDO.
The CSWDO also offers self-employment assistance (SEA) for Livelihood, financial assistance to qualified indigent solo parents, annual financial assistance for qualified senior citizens of Davao City, and burial assistance to indigent senior citizens. CIO
