The City Government of Davao’s Public Safety and Security Office spearheaded on July 30, 2024, a send-off ceremony for peace and security forces that will ensure a safe, orderly, and peaceful 39th Kadayawan Festival celebration.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte mayor in message read during the event said that the role of the security and safety personnel in Davao City is very significant during the Kadayawan because the events are attended and participated in, not only by local tourists but also by foreign guests, delegates, and event participants.
PSSO Head Angel Sumagaysay challenged the peace and security forces to uphold the reputation of the city as a very peaceful city.
During the Kadayawan Media Conference held last July 25, 2024, Sumagaysay bared that more than 20,000 security and safety personnel will be deployed for the Kadayawan.
In all, 20,485 security and safety personnel will oversee the peace and security of the 39th Kadayawan Festival activities with dedicated personnel per event.
A total of 4,104 security and safety personnel will also be deployed on August 18, 2024, for the Indak-Indak and Pamulak Festival. CIO
