The City Government of Davao issued Executive Order No. 7, Series of 2025, on May 21, titled “An Order Constituting the Technical Working Group and the Secretariat for the Implementation and Monitoring of City Ordinance No. 0331, Series of 2023, otherwise Known as the Amended CCTV Ordinance of Davao City.”
Based on the ordinance, the Technical Working Group (TWG) will facilitate the implementation and monitoring of the CCTV Ordinance in the city.
The TWG shall be headed by a representative from the City Mayor’s Office or the City Administrator’s Office (CADO), as duly authorized by the Mayor, who shall serve as chairperson. The Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) shall serve as the Secretariat.
The members shall include representatives from the Business Bureau, City Information and Technology Center, City Legal Office, Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Davao City Field Office, Task Force Davao (TFD), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) XI-SEMRO, and two representatives from the private/business sector.
As part of the CCTV ordinance implementation, the TWG shall be responsible for policy implementation and monitoring, coordination and support, public awareness and consultation, data protection and privacy, and reporting.
The PSSO and its appropriate personnel shall provide all clerical, secretarial, and administrative support related to the functions of the TWG.
