The City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) on Friday, August 30, conducted a reorientation among punong barangays and Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) focal persons.
Attending the reorientation were representatives from the Department of Health, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, City Health Office, Davao City Police Office, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) who talked about the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP), the function of the police in BADAC, and the roles and functions of BADAC.
More than 200 participants from the city’s three political districts attended the orientation.
Emmanuel Jeminico, Executive Program Director II of CADAC, said the activity was important in achieving and sustaining drug-free barangays.
The initiative, which started in 2022, hopes to revitalize the barangays’ familiarity in carrying out their responsibility as one of the community’s implementers of the BDCP. CIO
