The Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) and the c (NCSC) jointly led the second payout for the expanded centenarian program on Wednesday, March 19.

The program honored 93 elderly residents who embody decades of wisdom and resilience. It celebrates seniors aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 and aims to provide financial assistance and recognition for their invaluable contributions to the community.

Out of the 93 beneficiaries, 60 were elders aged 80 years old, 22 were 85 years old, nine were 90 years old, and two were 95 years old.

Each elder received P10,000 cash incentives.

Lorenzo Borja, OSCA Officer-In-Charge, said their office actively follows up with the beneficiaries of the Expanded Centenarian Program.

“Ang dili maka-ari sa adlaw nga gi-tagal, sa una ug duha ka adlaw, adtuan gyud namo sila sa ilang balay (Those who cannot come on the scheduled day, on the first and second day, we will go direclty to their house),” he added.

Albina Sarona, one of the beneficiaries from Toril, said she was planning to use the financial assistance she received for her needs and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the government for the program. CIO
