The City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) Online Cedula Application Platform
catered to 70,555 applicants since mid-2023.
The system, launched in May 2023, processed 402 applications between May and December of that year. Its popularity soared in 2024, with 20,106 applications. As of March 2025, an impressive 50,047 applications have already been recorded.
According to the CTO, the remarkable growth in users is attributed to effective information dissemination by the City Government of Davao, through social media posts and informational materials detailing the application.
To accommodate individuals without internet access, the CTO also set up two Kiosks at the lobby of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building, providing Dabawenyos with a convenient option to apply for cedula online.
The Online Cedula Application System was developed in coordination with the City Information Technology Center. The initiative is also part of Davao City’s broader commitment to modernizing public services and making them more accessible for residents.
