The City Government of Davao, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), continues to roll out the annual financial assistance for senior citizens in the city.
On April 15, a total of 1,190 senior citizens in Barangay Catalunan Grande received P1,500 worth of annual subsidy during the first batch of payout.
Qualified senior citizens aged 60 and above are entitled to P1,500 annual subsidy following the implementation of Ordinance No. 0954-22 or the Amended Annual Financial Assistance to All Qualified Senior Citizens Ordinance of Davao City.
According to the Office of the Senior Citizens Association (OSCA), Davao City has a total of 223,114 senior citizens.
The OSCA targets a total of 170,000 senior citizens to qualify for the annual subsidy.
