The City Government of Davao on May 9 issued Executive Order No. 06 Series of 2025, An Order For All Local Candidates to Create Their Respective Teams to Retrieve, Re-use, and Recycle All Local and National Election Paraphernalia on May 13, 14, and 15, 2025.
The City Government of Davao through EO urged local and national candidates to be responsible in ensuring that their campaign materials must be disposed of and properly managed after election day as these will no longer serve their purpose.
The EO emphasized that there is a need to ensure that the proper disposal of campaign materials is observed to avoid contributing to more waste products and to promote effective waste management in the city.
Through Section 1 of the EO, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte ordered the period of the retrieval from May 13-15, 2025, for both local and national election paraphernalia.
Section 2 of the ordinance also provides for the creation of clean-up teams by all local candidates and ordered their participation in the three-day activity within their districts.
Section 3 provides that all election paraphernalia collected during the cleanup should not be thrown into garbage bins and collection points.
All paraphernalia should also be recycled by the teams or should be delivered to recycling centers. CIO
