The City Government of Davao received a Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping award for the year 2024 from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for the 14th year now.
Following the assessment conducted by the DILG, the city passed accounting and auditing standards, complied with full disclosure policies, managed its resources wisely, and have effectively used all available tools for the development of the city.
The award is a testament to the city’s dedication to transparency, accountability and excellent governance.
It further affirms the city’s responsible and efficient financial management practices evident in the consistent efforts of the city government’s financial arms, including the City Treasurer’s Office, City Accountant’s Office, and the City Budget Office to judiciously perform their mandate.
The City Government of Davao will continue its efforts to ensure that its processes and systems for fiscal management are sound, and that it will remain accountable and transparent. CIO
