The City Government of Davao, through Executive Order No. 1 Series of 2024, identified the official members of the Chinatown Development Council, which was created to assist in the formulation and implementation of policies, programs, projects, and activities in the development of the declared Chinatown area.

The official members of the Council, including the private sector representatives pursuant to City Ordinance No. 02605-09, Series of 2009, are identified so they can develop general directions for interaction among government agencies and stakeholders, create relevant programs and projects, and aid the legislative and executive branches in policy formulation.

Section 1 of the EO states that the City Mayor or the city administrator as his duly authorized representative will sit as chairperson, with the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s Committee on Tourism and Beautification Chair as vice chairperson.

The members include the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Davao City Investment Promotion Center, Davao City Police Office, Barangay 27-C Barangay Chairperson, and Barangay 30-C- Barangay Chairperson.

Eight members from the private sector were named and categorized in the areas of business, civic organization, and academe.

These members shall be appointed by the City Mayor from bonafide Filipino-Chinese constituents of Davao City based on competence and expertise.

The CTOO shall serve as the Secretariat of the Executive Committee and shall be tasked to handle all its administrative and secretarial functions.

Section 3 of the EO lists all the functions of the council.
