As part of its campaign for responsible pet ownership and continued good health of livestock, such as large cattle, the City Veterinarians Office (CVO) has scheduled free services for the month of April.
These activities include castration and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns related to animal welfare for cats and dogs set in Barangay Mandug, Buhangin District on April 15; in Barangay Cabantian Buhangin District on April 22; in Barangay Catalunan Grande Talomo District on April 23; and Barangay Malagos, Baguio District on April 28.
On April 29, there will also be a Rabies Vaccination and IEC activity in Barangay Baracatan, Toril District.
There will also be a Pregnancy Diagnosis/ Synchronizaton and Artificial Insemination for large cattle on April 21 in Barangay San Isidro, Bunawan District; and April 25 in Barangay Marilog Proper, Marilog District.
A purely Artificial Insemination (AI) service for large cattle will also be provided by the CVO on April 24 in Barangay San Isidro, Bunawan District and April 28 in Barangay Marilog Proper, Marilog District.
From April 15-30, CVO staff under the Davao City Animal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory (DCADDL) will also conduct laboratory works and sample collections in pounds and slaughterhouses within the city.
CVO Head Dr. Corazon Sepulveda said these services are conducted by their office all year round though, not just for the month of April.
Sepulveda said that they also continue to promote responsible pet ownership and IECs. CIO
