The City Government of Davao, through an executive order, reconstituted the City Inventory Committee on March 15.
Based on Executive Order No. 07, series of 2024, the Inventory Committee is tasked to conduct an actual physical inventory of the City Government’s Properties, Plants, and Equipments (PPEs) at least once a year; and shall submit an Accomplishment or Final Report of the Inventory to the City Mayor before the end of every year.
The Committee is also responsible for the formulation of Guidelines or Rules and Regulations on the conduct of the physical inventory. The Guidelines will then be disseminated through a memorandum signed by the City Administrator.
According to the EO, any discrepancies or losses that may be discovered as a result of any inventory shall be immediately and appropriately dealt with, pursuant to applicable laws or rules and regulations.
The Committee is also mandated to form a Technical Working Group for the prompt conduct of its affairs.
Meanwhile, the committee shall be composed of members from the Office of the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlungsod; City Accountant’s Office; City General Services Office; City Planning and Development Office; Chief of Staff, City Mayor’s Office; and Task Force on the Inventory of Real Properties of the City Government of Davao.
The City Mayor shall sit as the chairman of the committee, and will be co-chaired by the City Administrator.
The City Accountant’s Office is the designated Secretariat responsible for handling all administrative and secretarial activities of the Committee.
All costs pertaining to the operation of the Committee shall be sourced from the available funds of the City Government of Davao, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
