The City government of Davao has joined the celebration of Ease of Doing Business Month, reaffirming its commitment to provide efficient, business-friendly, and transparent government services.

In line with this, the city government continues to simplify transactions and enhance accessibility for entrepreneurs and investors, ensuring that both small and large businesses can operate smoothly and effectively.

To further support ease of doing businesses, Davao City implemented Executive Order No. 43 series of 2020, designating the Internal Audit Service Division as the Anti-Red Tape Unit in compliance with Republic Act 11032. This executive order, signed by former Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, emphasizes honesty, responsibility, and transparency in government transactions.

The city government has also received a Certificate of Commendation from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) in May 2024 for the successful implementation of Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS). This system significantly improved the efficiency of business permit applications.

Among the city’s notable initiatives in streamlining government transactions are the one-stop-shop business permit and licensing systems, investment facilitation services through the Davao City Investment Center, and cutting processing time for building permit transactions.

The city government calls on Dabwenyos to take advantage of available government programs and services designed to simplify business registration, renewals, and compliance procedures. CIO
