Mayor Sebastian Duterte on Monday urged employees of the City Government of Davao to continue the practice of unbiased and efficient public service.

The mayor made the call during the first flag-raising ceremony of the year at the City Hall grounds.

Also present during the ceremony were Vice Mayor J. Melchor Quitain and the heads of the various departments of the city government.

Duterte highlighted the importance of ensuring that every Dabawenyo is afforded the services and assistance that they need in the most efficient way possible.

“Aron ang tao muhatag og salig sa atoa, makaingon sila nga ‘ay ang kaning gobyerno sa Davao City kaning local government nato para ni sa tanan is that you make it accessible para sa tanan (In order for people to trust us, for them to feel and know that the city government is there for them is to make our services accessible),” Duterte said.

“Mapakinsa man ka, mapobre ka, madato ka, tomboy ka, bayot, lalaki or babae , or unsa ba ka dira patas atoang treatment sa mga tao nga musulod sa atoang mga opisina unya managayo’g tabang o manginahanglan sa atoang serbisyo (We have to give them equal and unbiased treatment regardless of their status, gender, race, religion),” he added.

Duterte also reminded employees to treat every client that comes to the various offices of the city government with respect.

He also extended his gratitude to the employees for their hard work and commitment to their duties and responsibilities.

Also highlighted in his message is the importance of the welfare of the employees. He urged the employees to reach out to their immediate supervisors should they have concerns or suggestions.

Employees are also urged to reach out to professionals should they need any form of assistance.

Dabawenyos are also encouraged to reach out to the city government of Davao and its agencies for their concerns, suggestions, and for any assistance or government service they need. CIO
