The city government of Davao, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), successfully held the Araw ng Dabaw Job Fair on Friday, March 21, at NCCC Victoria Mall Plaza.
The job fair brought together 27 participating agencies, 22 local and five overseas, offering a range of job opportunities. With 3,500 job vacancies available, the event catered to a wide array of job seekers in Davao City.
Shirly Duran Sahid, Labor Employment Officer of PESO Davao, said the job fair was intended to assist Dabawenyos in finding employment opportunities.
The event attracted over 500 applicants, where more than 50 individuals were hired on the spot for jobs like cashier, warehouse staff, housekeeping, customer assistant, merchandiser, driver, and welder.
Sahid also encouraged Dabawenyos to regularly check the Davao City PESO, the official Facebook Page of PESO Davao, for updates on available job openings across the city. CIO
