The Davao City government, through the City Engineer’s Office, has completed 740 infrastructure projects over a four-year period from 2020.

Based on the data from CEO, these city-funded projects included roads, highways, bridges, irrigation, canals and laterals, buildings and other structures.

The city completed a total of 150 in 2020; 162 in 2021; 125 in 2022; 146 in 2023; and 157 in 2024.

These projects are scattered all over the city and include those in the far flung areas.

CEO head Engr. Joseph Dominic Felizarta told Madayaw Davao on February 24, 2025 that the city still has ongoing projects for 2025 that they are fast-tracking to ensure that it won’t be affected by the election ban.

“We are fast-tracking the 2025 projects so that their implementation will not be affected by the election ban, where while the bidding is not prohibited, the actual project implementation is banned,” he said.

He said the city is also developing important facilities for public service,
such as the new sanitary landfill. CIO
