The City Government of Davao on Wednesday opened another satellite office for the Lingap Para sa Mahirap program.
The Lingap Poblacion Satellite Office is the 6th Lingap satellite office. It is located within the Almendras Gymnasium compound.
Located near the heart of the city, this Lingap satellite office caters to Dabawenyos who live far from its main office at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Bajada.
Ytalia Bohol, Officer-in-Charge of the Lingap Office, said that considering the Lingap Poblacion’s location, they are expecting hundreds of clients per day.
“Estimated namo no nga ma-accommodate diri is nasa 200–500 clients per day kay tungod naa man gud siya diri sa centro (Since the satellite office is located in the city center, our estimated number of clients per day is around 200–500),” she said in an interview.
The office is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will continue to cater clients even on holidays except during the weekends.
Lingap Para sa Mahirap is one of the flagship programs of the city government that seeks to provide medical assistance to Dabawenyos.
The Lingap program caters to requests for assistance in areas of apparatus and prosthetics, dialysis, funeral bills, hospital bills, laboratory procedures, and medicine.
Lingap has five other satellite offices located in Bunawan, Toril, Marilog, Calinan, and Paquibato. CIO
