The City Health Office’s Environmental Health and Sanitation Division held a food handling orientation on March 21, 2024 for concessionaires who will sell food at the venue of the Davao Regional Athletic Association (DAVRAA) Meet 2024.

Before the seminar, Paig said the concessionaires were required to submit the business and sanitation permits, and the health cards of their employees.

“Mao gyud na ang requirement, dili sila makasulod or maka-apil [sa raffle] kung wala sila’y permits ug kung wala sila’y certificates (That is our requirements
they cannot participate in the raffling if they do not have permits or certificates),” she said.

Paig said that the City Economic Enterprises organized the raffling among the vendors, who will display their food and wares at a designated area near the UP Sports Complex.

In a separate interview, CEE Head Maximo Macalipes Jr. said that 10 of the stalls will be solely for food, while the 10 others will be for souvenirs and accessories.

Meanwhile, Paig added that teams from their office started the inspection of sanitary facilities of the billeting quarters, which will be used by the DAVRAA participants, on Monday.

She said that more than 20 personnel from their office will also be deployed for the duration of DAVRAA activities, which will be from April 1 to April 7. CIO
