The City Government of Davao, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), has provided critical initial assistance to the fire victim in Barangay Tigatto in Buhangin District on Monday.
The CSWDO swiftly mobilized its resources to help the victims.
The initial aid consisted of hot meals prepared by CSWDO’s Mobile Kitchen, essential food and non-food items, temporary shelter, and Psychological First Aid (PFA) to help residents cope with the emotional impact of losing their homes.
A total of 16 families or 63 individuals, including 26 children and three senior citizens, were affected by the fire.
The CSWDO confirmed that the victims are staying at Juliville Gym, which has been designated as their evacuation site. The office is also conducting validations to determine further assistance needed for affected families. CIO
