The City Government of Davao, through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), opened a Central 911 satellite station in Toril for a more efficient emergency response in the area and the neighboring barangays.
The Central 911 Toril satellite station is strategically located on Rasay Street in Toril beside the Toril Fire Station and Lingap Toril.
Alfredo Baloran, Head of the CDRRMO, said the establishment of Central 911 substations in various locations outside downtown Davao is intended to streamline its services to the community and ensure a more efficient and effective disaster emergency response and preparedness.
The Central 911 satellite station in Toril is the 5th CDRRMO-Central 911 satellite station established in the city.
The station provides the same services as its main office, including emergency medical services. An ambulance is also housed in the station for immediate emergency response.
It also has the necessary equipment for disaster and emergency response. Search and rescue teams are also ready for augmentation.
Mayor Sebastian Duterte, in a message read by Baloran, said that the establishment of this satellite station is proof of the city’s consistent thrust to expand and upgrade its mobility, availabity, and efficiency in its day-to-day operations.
“This ensures that urgent medical care and rescue needs are promptly delivered, especially in far-flung areas,” he said.
Other than the Toril satellite station, Central 911 also has substations in Baganihan, Calinan, Panacan, and Cabantian.
The CDRRMO also eyes the establishment of Central 911 satellite stations in Lasang and Malabog.
The City Government of Davao, through the CDRRMO, continues to augment its emergency response initiatives and enhance its disaster preparedness programs to ensure efficient delivery of services in times of disasters and emergencies. CIO
