The Vices Regulation Unit (VRU), under the office of the City Mayor, was created purposely to ensure people’s protection and discipline would-be violators in compliance to efficient and efective regulation of Davao City’s Anti-Smoking and Liquor Ban ordinances. VRU was created through Executive Order 10, dated April 14, 2017 forming the Anti-Smoking and Liquor Ban Forces consisting of twelve (12) board members from different departments of the City Government of Davao. The office was established to regulate, monitor, and apprehend violators pursuant to C.O. 0367-12, and C.O. 004-13 and Sec. 7 of C.O. 0292-06 (Children Welfare Code) of Davao City.
Services:
- Enforcement and execution of provisions Davao City Ordinances related to Anti-Smoking and Liquor Ban.
- Monitor and apprehend violators mandated by the law.
- Promote awareness, provide education and counseling relative to the vices concerned.
- Leads and facilitate advocay activities and events related to Smoke-Free initiatives and Liquor Ban.
