The Public Safety and Security Command Center provides an effective coordinative and integrative command and control organization for improved inter-operability in the delivery of emergency quality services by offices and units comprising the safety, law and order, security and intelligence clusters in Davao City. PSSCC was created through EO No. 18 s. 2012entitled “An Order Repealing Eo 12, S. 2010 And Creating The Public Safety And Security Command Center (PSSCC), to create a Safe City by using information, people, technology, solution and develop an intelligent operations unit. PSSCC was established to serve as the command, control and coordinating office during everyday activities, crisis situations and combined security operations. It also facilitates the exchange of important and confidential information and intelligence by orchestrating the different coordinating agencies. It is a division under the City Mayor’s Office.
The office:
- Coordinates with its security clusters to ensure peace and order in Davao City
- Provides CCTV viewing or a copy of CCTV footages for video requests
- Augments the security forces through the deployment of Civil Security Unit personnel during events and festivities in the City
