- 1051-1 Data Conversion and Full Computerization
- The Civil Registration Information System is primarily intended for the efficient computerized storage and retrieval of civil registry records. Objectively, this system covers the data conversion of all civil registry records archived within this city, as well as installation of an on-line access to databases at the National Statistics Office based in Manila or from other regional offices. The records kept by the Office of the Civil Registrar and the numerous daily requests from the transacting public, necessitate an effective storage and retrieval capability which only a high-technology computer-based system can provide, as well as other services already incorporated within the implementation of the system. Automating the verification and certification of civil registry records can contribute to speedy processing and the efficient delivery of civil registration services to the requesting public.
- 1051-2 Mobile Registration
- This project assigns office personnel to the requesting barangays in order to conduct birth and marriage registration services for indigent and underprivileged constituents of this city as well as the tribal and cultural minorities. The mobile registration services is dependent upon the requests of barangays in need of civil registration services. Diverse sociological and political factors are major contributors of the output of this program which results to the variance of accomplishments from year to year.
- 1051-3 Implementation of RA 9048/10172
- This Office seeks to increase and enhance the delivery of civil registration services by affording to petitioners who have typographical errors in their civil registry documents or change their first names with the opportunity to correct these errors or change their names for as long as these fall within the requirements set by Republic Act 9048 / 10172. Objectively, this system itself can save the petitioners’ time, money and efforts considering the lesser amount of time and financial collateral needed to petition for any correction of entry in an erroneous civil registry document or change of first name as compared to before the enactment of this law which can only be resolved thru the civil courts. This factor itself can encourage our clientele to verify, if not, update their records, whereby eradicating any undue visit to this Office due to unforeseen events of an individual’s life. It is expected that there would be a gradual lesser requests for this services for the succeeding years since the implementation of this law.
- 1051-4 Barangay Civil Registration System (BCRS)
- 1. Barangay Seminars / Workshops on Civil Registration System
- This project pertains to the conduct of seminar workshop on the civil registration system for barangay officials, barangay health workers, teachers, social workers, community and NGO workers, especially in the distant barangays and districts of this City, to enhance their knowledge and capabilities as to the viability and importance of civil registration and therefore promote a barangay-wide action plan for each particular barangay on addressing the need to afford each of our constituents with access to civil registration services.
- 2. Orientation of Barangay Officials on Barangay Civil Registration System (BCRS)
- Note: The Birth Registration Project (BRP), which started last August 2005 has been undertaken by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and Plan Philippines, and the role of the City Civil Registrar’s Office is to conduct an orientation for barangay captains (punong barangay) and their barangay secretaries on the Barangay Civil Registration System (BCRS) prior to its actual implementation thereof in their respective barangays.

- 3. Securing the requirements to support the petitions of indigents under Republic Act 9048 and in the processing of legal instruments.
- 1051-6 “Paaralan Nyo Pwede nang Magparehistro”
- The primary objective of this project is to provide access to civil registration services in public elementary schools in Davao City particularly in far flung areas. It is intended to ensure that before the children completes the primary level of their education, their civil registry records are corrected or their status are appropriately reflected in their records. The CCRO in coordination with the Department of Education, particularly the Office of the School Division Superintendent selected public elementary schools strategically located in Davao Out of these schools, the DEP-ED will choose the most suitable public school teacher who will undergo the two (2) days extensive training on civil registration. Thereafter, they will have to undergo a fifteen (15) days on the job training at various CCRO district offices. After completing their training, the civil registration outlet shall be established in their respective schools. Their operation shall be directly supervised by the District Head who has territorial jurisdiction over the school. The public school teachers and those directly involved in the implementation of this project will be entitled to receive monetary incentive or consideration subject to the reasonable accounting and auditing procedures.
- 1051-7 Batch Request Entry System (BREQS Station)
- This project aims to expedite the processing of civil registry transactions in Davao City by providing an NSO service outlet for filing and releasing of NSO issued Security Papers. These NSO issued documents are among the documents necessary to process various transactions in the CCRO.
