The City Government of Davao released an advisory for business owners to register and process their Fire Safety Inspection fees directly at the online portal of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Starting July 22, 2025, the assessment and collection of Fire Safety Inspection Fees will no longer be included in the Business Tax Order of Payment issued by the City Government.

This is in accordance with the BFP-National Headquarters’ Memorandum Circular No. 2024-024 that institutionalizes the streamlining of its Fire Safety Inspection System (FSIS) through a centralized database for establishments, Fire Code Fees collections and other BFP issuances.

Fire Senior Insp. Russel Jake E. Marañon, Davao City Fire District’s (DCFD) Public Information Unit Chief and Station Commander of the Bajada Fire Station, said during the ISpeak Media Forum that through the BFP’s online portal, the information of businesses are centralized.

Clients may now register and process their fire safety inspection fees through the portal that can be accessed through this link: https://fsis.e-bfp.com.

Marañon emphasized that the system eliminates the need for business owners to visit the BFP substation where their businesses are located, as all data are accessible to any BFP office through the platform.

Business owners who lacked knowledge on navigating online portals may also reach out to the nearest BFP substation for assistance.

“Our offices are open. Naa kita’y 15 ka fire stations dinhi alone sa Davao City nga willing mu-cater, willing mutabang sa atoang business owners, if ever naa sila’y concerns or naa sila’y questions sa kani’ng sistema (Our offices are open. We have 15 fire stations in Davao City alone, with personnel willing to cater to and assist business owners if they have concerns or questions about the system),” Marañon said.

He also said that currently, the processing and registration for the fire safety inspection can be done through either manual transaction or through the portal.

Marañon also reminded clients who opt to use the portal to ensure that the files and images they upload are clear.
