The City Sports Development Division under the City Mayor’s Office was created by in consonances of the city’s reorganization act of 1996.
- The office conducts sports clinics such as basketball, badminton, table tennis, arnis, among others.
- Lending of sports equipment
- Referees training
- Provide financial assistance to barangays and sports association
- Monitoring the sports activities in Araw ng Dabaw, Kadayawan, Pahalipay sa Pasko etc. and providing cash incentives for the winners in the said activity
- Sponsoring travels of athletes & coaches
- Implement sports program during Araw ng Dabaw, Kadayawan, Pahalipay sa Pasko, etc
