The 30th Mindanao Trade Expo Kadayawan officially opened on Tuesday at Abreeza Mall, featuring products of Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises in Mindanao.

More than 150 exhibitors attended the event showcasing food cacao products, durian products, beauty and wellness, arts and crafts, fashion accessories, textile, home decor, furniture and many more.

Councilor Myrna Dalodo Ortiz, chair of the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s Committee on Trade Commerce and Industry, stated the trade fair is an opportunity for MSMEs to display Mindanao and Davao’s ingenuity.

Ortiz also read the speech of Acting Mayor Sebastian Baste Duterte commending the Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation and its valued partners for their unwavering commitment to sustaining livelihood in Mindanao.

The mayor, in his speech, also acknowledged the role of MSMEs in the city’s economy. He encouraged exhibitors to use the experience, learn from the lectures to grow and expand their businesses.

“May this event serve am opportunity to our entrepreneurs to gain valuable insights and develop essential skills that can expand their market and grow their business amid the dynamic economic conditions. It is our hope that through our serious collaboration we continue to foster a more innovative and more competitive MSME sector by expanding business networks, improving product development, and promoting creative local craftsmanship goods and delicacies to broader markets,” the acting mayor said.

He encouraged everyone to participate in meaningful discussions as the city endeavors to promote sustainable business practices.
