The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) announced on Sunday that August 15, 2025, was declared a special non-working holiday in the city under Proclamation No. 826, in celebration of the Kadayawan Festival and Indigenous People’s Day.

The CTOO also released the official calendar of events for the Kadayawan, which will open in the evening of August 8 at the Kadayawan Tribal Village in Magsaysay Park.

Some of the official events for the Kadayawan Festival is the Kadayawan Trade Fair 2025 scheduled on August 8–31 in the same venue from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Hiyas sa Kadayawan Cultural Presentation is scheduled on August 9 with the grand coronation night set on August 14.

To showcase the delicacies of the 11 ethnolinguistic groups of the city, the Pananam sa Kadayawan is set on August 9–17 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kadayawan Tribal Village.

Celebrating the vibrant cultures of the 11 ethnolinguistic groups, Dabawenyos and visitors are invited to witness the Bantawan Cultural Celebration on August 10–12 at the Bantawan Amphitheater in Magsaysay Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The CTOO also brought back the Agong ug Kulintangan, an event that showcases the music of the 11 ethnolinguistic groups, that is scheduled on August 15 at the Rizal Park from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the most anticipated Pamulak ug Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan Street Parade is set in the morning of August 17 with the grand showdown being in the evening of the same day.
