The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) kicked off the celebration of the 2025 Duaw Davao Festival with a night of talent, music, and colors.
Rising local talents entertained hundreds of Dabawenyos with their music and dance performances during the opening program on June 5.
Now in its second year, Duaw Davao is the newest addition to the official festivals of the city happening every second quarter of the month.
The festival aims to showcase the city’s diverse attractions and vibrant music. It also highlights the city’s inclusive nature with activities that push for equality and inclusivity.
Attending the event were the officials of the City Government of Davao, outgoing Reyna ng Davao winners, guests, and other stakeholders.
The 20 official candidates of Reyna ng Davao 2025 also graced the stage during the festival’s opening night.
Mayor Sebastian Duterte, in a message delivered by 3rd District Councilor Alberto Ungab, said Duaw Davao is more than just a celebration of the city’s rich history and heritage, but also of its thriving tourism industry, flourishing arts and culture scene, resilient communities, and the natural wonders that make Davao City truly exceptional.
The festival’s second year celebration is “a true testament to the enduring Dabawenyo spirit we proudly share with the world.”
Dabawenyos are encouraged to take part in the various events lined up for Duaw Davao, and to celebrate the festivities with joy and a shared sense of responsibility. CIO
