The City Government of Davao, through the Public Safety and Security Office, announced on Monday that it has finalized the number of security and safety personnel to be detailed during the Duaw Davao events.
PSSO Head Angel Sumagaysay said Duaw Davao will kickoff on June 5.
“We will deploy 7,100 as of the latest data given to us during the meeting,” Sumagaysay said.
Sumagaysay said that as of Monday, their office is in the process of finalizing the security for the concerts planned for the Duaw.
For these, they already asked for the layout and also inquired about the identity of the performers to anticipate the number of people attending.
Sumagaysay said that based on observations from previous Duaw Davao festivities, a lot of tourists came. Now in its third year, the PSSO is poised to further strengthen the event’s security and safety measures.
“Regular na ni nga kalingawan sa city, just enjoy the show (This is now a regular event in the city, enjoy the show),” Sumagaysay said. CIO
