The City Government of Davao has joined the national observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month spearheaded by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).
The celebration highlights the government’s commitment to promoting efficient public service, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and creating a more business-friendly environment, particularly within local government units.
In support of this initiative, the City Government of Davao’s Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) launched several activities reinforcing its commitment to good governance.
Among these was the Nationwide Frontline Service Inspection wherein the CART Inspection Team checked the compliance of offices offering frontline services to R.A. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
Offices in City Hall and the Sangguniang Panlungsod also displayed EODB Month banners in areas easily seen by the public to raise awareness of the city’s participation in the EODB Month celebration.
During the flag ceremony on Monday, Mayor Sebastian Duterte, in a message read by CART’s Vice Chairperson, emphasized the importance of the EODB Month.
He reminded all public servants to uphold the core values of integrity, transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and a strong work ethic, which are the essential pillars of effective and ethical governance.
